Denomination: United Methodist Church
What We Believe
We are a community of believers that worships God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe in a warm, kind-hearted Evangelical, Orthodox, Charismatic, and catholic Christianity that is deeply rooted in the Bible and the Wesleyan tradition.
We are sincere in fellowship, characterized by the love of God and love for each other.
We are active in ministry and mission, to our church family, our community, and throughout the world.
We believe that Jesus came to save us from our sins and from ourselves and to re-establish our relationships with God and with each other.
We believe we are saved and made right with God when we place our faith in Jesus as Savior and accept His gift of grace.
We believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ never changes, although the ways we do ministry do change.
Our most important responsibilities include preaching the Gospel, the good news about Jesus, who is the "Word of God," and also administering the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord's Supper.
We pray “The Lord’s Prayer,” as Jesus taught us.
We recite and believe every word of the Apostles’ Creed.
We give generously and faithfully.
We worship passionately.
As Methodists, we understand and embrace our founder John Wesley's explanation of ministry as being divided into two parts. These are Acts of Piety and Acts of Mercy. Acts of Piety are spiritual acts, such as prayer, Bible reading, spiritual reading, fasting, and celebrating Communion. Acts of Mercy include caring for those in need, including the poor, the sick, the aged, the incarcerated, the immigrant, and the hungry. Again, we seek to live out both of these as faithful Christians.
We are committed to spiritual growth. This includes knowing about God and the Christian faith, and also growing to know and trust God in every facet of our lives.
We would love to host you; hear about your journey; and get busy "doin' faith" with you.
Thank You and God Bless You.
