City Bible Church

Interdenominational

City Bible Church, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada
First Sunday service at 60 Melville
VBS 2015

City Bible Church is an interdenominational, Bible-believing church.

We are here to serve the community, provide Biblical instruction, spiritual help, encouragement and to provide a fellowship where all are welcome regardless of where you may be on your spiritual journey.

We are not affiliated with any denomination and therefore offer a unique opportunity where persons from all evangelical divisions of the Church can fellowship and serve happily together.

A typical Sunday morning would include: (During the Covid-19 Pandemic this schedule will vary)

fellowship coffee at 10 am,
gathering in the main auditorium at 10:30 am for
singing (usually a 50/50 mix of hymns and contemporary music),
announcements,
bible reading,
giving
and prayer.
At approximately 11 am the children would be dismissed to go to their own Junior Church, while the adults remain for a lesson from the Bible by Pastor Bill.

PREREGISTRATION

In accordance with government guidelines we will only be able to admit 30 people into the building, so we need you to preregister.

Steps:

have one member of your household REGISTER by Friday noon;

indicate the number of your household that would be attending.

confirm that you or any of your attending household:

have not been in contact with anyone infected with COVID-19 in the last 14 days

have not travelled from overseas in the last 14 days;

are not unwell or displaying symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) – fever, cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat or trouble swallowing, runny nose, loss of taste or smell, not feeling well, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.

prepare yourself. Attached is a checklist of things you can do during that morning or check out this website https://www.reopeningthechurch.com/home.

SAFETY MEASURES

cleaning the church thoroughly and all touch points sanitized;

when able, opening the doors to limit the contact of common touchpoints and to have good airflow;

limiting the use of the restrooms to only one person at a time and disinfecting touch points after each use;

spacing the seating in the sanctuary according to the 2m distancing guidelines;

assigning seating in family groupings.

SAFETY PROCEDURES

Masks are required to be worn over your nose and mouth while in the church building. If you do not have one, one will be provided for you. Hand sanitizer will also be provided before entering the building.

A greeter will be at the entry door to give instructions. They will be recording the name of each person entering. In the event someone does become ill, we will be able to inform everyone so they can take the necessary steps to be safe.

If you have a jacket or coat, please take it with you to your seat.

At the sanctuary door a greeter will escort you to your assigned seat. Please stay in your seat for the duration of the service.

Following the service, we will have those closest to the door leave first and file out row by row, similar to leaving a wedding or funeral. For those who wish to visit, it is encouraged to do that outside the building while maintaining 2m social distancing.

WORSHIP TIME

We will still be running an on-line service. See citybible.ca for more details.

We will not be having any corporate singing.

The service will be shorter than normal, approximately 45 minutes.

Families with young children:

Children are asked to go down to the lower auditorium immediately once they arrive. Any children aged 9 and up will be asked to wear a mask and social distance as much as possible.
The nursery will be open for babies up to age 4. All Covid-19 safety precautions will be observed.

Giving:

The offering plate will not be passed, but you may use the offering box located outside of the sanctuary or e-transfer.
