First Baptist Church has a rich history, but is also a forward looking, ministry-oriented congregation.
Founded in 1859, First Baptist gives believers an opportunity to be a part of a story that began almost 150 years ago, and will continue for lifetimes to come.
With a strong Baptist heritage, First Baptist challenges each member to exercise his/her gifts for the glory of God. Distinctively Christian, centered on the Bible, First Baptist proclaims the reign of God in the Muncie community.

Join us for worship on Sunday mornings
Services are at 9:15 and 10:45 AM
Early Worship
Our early gathering 9:15 AM is stylistically “traditional,” with hymn singing led by a choir and an organ.
Late Worship
The late gathering 10:45 AM follows a similar format, yet is more “contemporary” in musical style. Everyone is encouraged to join and participate in either of our gatherings.
