Greater Saint Bethel United Holy Church

United Holy Church of America

Greater St. Bethel United Holy Church was founded in 1919 in the home of Brother Will and Elmo Griffin under Rev. J.H. Tucker’s leadership. Over the years, several pastors contributed to its growth, including Rev. Wheeler, who helped establish a church radio presence, and Rev. J.H. Dickens, who led the rebuilding after a fire in 1956.

In 1962, Rev. Leamon Dudley (later Bishop Dudley) became pastor, ushering in a period of tremendous growth. Under his leadership, the church expanded its programs, established new ministries, and purchased land for a new building. Construction began in 1991, culminating in the "Victory Day" march to the new sanctuary in 1992. The church celebrated paying off its mortgage in 2002, and Bishop Dudley retired in 2006 after 46 years of service.

Elder Ralph Love, Jr. succeeded him as pastor, continuing the church’s mission alongside First Lady Tia Love. Under his leadership, Greater St. Bethel has thrived, remaining committed to spreading the Gospel and serving the community
