Hawthorn Presbyterian Church welcomes Christians and those who seek to understand Christianity in the Hawthorn area. Our aim is to make contact with and encourage others to join us in our life-enhancing Christian journey.
Hawthorn Presbyterian Church at Hawthorn, Victoria is a friendly Christian community where we welcome others to join us in our worship and service to God. Our emphasis is on learning and understanding the Bible and following the example of Jesus and his followers.
The vision of Hawthorn Presbyterian Church is to make an impact for God, here in Hawthorn, Victoria by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds. Come just as you are - we'd love to get to know you better.
Service Times
Sunday morning
We have a church service at 11am every Sunday morning. We have a traditional style of worship, complete with a pipe organ. Before the service we also have morning tea at 10:30am. Anybody and everybody are welcome to attend.
During the school term there is also a Bible study at 9:30am that goes for about an hour which normally looks at something that is related to the sermon that morning. There is also a Sunday school at 9:30am.
Sunday evening
We have a church service at 7pm every Sunday evening. This is a bit smaller and shorter than the morning service, but stylistically similar. We have supper together after the service and we often spend more time here than in church. Like with the morning service, visitors are more than welcome.
Midweek activities
We run a variety of things that involve studying the Bible and/or praying throughout the week. Contact us for more details.
