Lake Burien Presbyterian Church - affectionately called “Lake B” - is a growing, diverse congregation of people from all different backgrounds and cultures with a common commitment to love courageously, take risks and challenge what we think we know in order to see Jesus more clearly. We desire “the gospel fully alive” in us – that is, that the good news of Christ would not just be heard but experienced through the way we live, serve and love.
Lake B has a strong commitment to justice. We believe that “peace is connected to justice” and that in order for us to pursue “shalom” with our neighbors, we must be willing to see peace, justice and love in the most unlikely of places as well as be willing to educate ourselves and proactively engage the systems that perpetuate injustice. We are striving daily to follow Christ's radical model of ministry as we courageously re-center the margins to lift up and serve our neighbors in a way that translates to love.
