Ecumenical Partnership
We are a small ecumenical (URC/Methodist) church at the end of the Lugger, Portscatho.
We are open every day for hot drinks and a quiet place to rest, pray, meditate or browse the material provided.
Sunday worship is at 10.30am and communion on the fourth Wednesday of each month.
Portscatho United Church has a history of over 200 years serving the local community and beyond, and it’s small but lively congregation are committed to seeing this continue!
As the ‘Retreat at Portscatho’ we open our doors every day to welcome visitors and to share hospitality.
There is a hot drink available, a comfortable welcome, and prayer and reflections resources to sit awhile in the peaceful presence of God. You are welcome to let us know any prayer requests and we will pray for them during our services, and we’d love you to write any comments or reflections in our visitors book.
Our services are open to all, whether you are resident on the Roseland, or visiting the area. We meet on Sundays at 10.30 for an hour followed by refreshments and time to chat.
On the fourth Wednesday of each month, a Communion service is led by the Circuit Methodist Minister, Revd Mark Dunn-Wilson.
We are registered with the Small Pilgrim Places Network and part of the URC SouthWest Synod and the Cornwall and the Isles of Sicily Methodist District, as a local ecumenical project.
