WHAT DO WE VALUE?
LIFE
We think life should be lived to the full. Everyone should be able to experience the full joy that comes from a full life but we know that life can also throw us challenging circumstances and difficulty. One of the reasons a church exists is to support and encourage each other as we ‘do life’ together.
FAMILY
Family, for many of us, is often foremost in our thoughts and a source of great joy. Family is an important part of what we stand for and what we seek to support. Equally our church community has an important role in creating a ‘family’ atmosphere for each person who comes into contact with us.
BELONGING
We believe that everyone is on a journey but that different people will be at different stages of that journey at different times. We encourage ‘belonging before belief’. This means that we need to reach out and be accepting of people who, for a variety of reasons, may not always be aligned completely with everything we believe.
DIVERSITY
We promote respect for each individual and each generation. We encourage people to be accepting of others and to warmly embrace those who need some special encouragement.
