Welcome to the Parish of Sacred Heart & St Gerard, Bellshill in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Motherwell.
Our parish was founded in 2018 as an amalgamation of the Sacred Heart Parish, founded in 1949 by Father James Butler, and St Gerard's Parish, founded in 1967 by Father Patrick Moss. Having been served by one priest since 2013, the two parishes were amalgamated in 2018 by Bishop Joseph Toal to form one new parish to serve the Catholic community in Bellshill.
Whether you know our parish well and are just looking for further information, maybe it has been a while since last you visited our parish, or you may just be surfing and have found us by accident - we hope you find something of use to yourself.
Lastly, we pray that we may face that future in the same spirit as our forefathers; confident that with God's continued help and our efforts his work in the Parish of Sacred Heart & St Gerard may be accomplished for many years to come.
