Sacred Heart Church

Sacred Heart Church, located at 525 Campbell Avenue, has served the Strathcona/Grandview/Woodlands communities since 1905. In its early years, it primarily served the immigrant community providing support to Italian families new to Canada, and often assisted them to find work and adjust to their new environment. The Church site started with a school, after which a convent, church and rectory were built. By 1960, the Church site had four buildings occupying approximately half a block of land providing church services, education, and social opportunities to Catholics in the community.

If you would like to join us for Mass, please phone me to see if there is room. It is also important to wear a mask and use sanitizer for your hands as you enter the church. Please be mindful of social distancing. Only enter through the main door of the church. Everything else will be explained to you by our ushers, who will welcome you, and also by me before the Mass begins. Finally, please arrive early so we can start on time.
