St. Peter’s Parish
Nestled among the evergreens our beautiful church stands welcoming parishioners to join in fellowship every Sunday morning at 9:30.
St. Peter’s church affectionately known as “St. Peter’s Cathedral” is located 1 km north off of highway 5 East at the Muenster village access corner. Our parish serves the growing village of Muenster and surrounding area and is always ready to welcome new parishioners and visitors. Every 3rd Sunday of the month we try to have a social gathering after mass. Anyone is welcome to stay to enjoy muffins, refreshments and the good company of fellow parishioners. Our parish community is blessed with caring volunteers for the many liturgies.
We are proud of our parish community and the beautiful church that we gather in to celebrate the Eucharist. St. Peter’s church celebrated 100 years in July, 2010. The interior of the church was painted by Berthold Von Imhoff in 1919. Currently we are working on the restoration of the church to ensure that our church stands for many more generations to come. Come and join in fellowship to refresh the spirit from a rural faith gathering reminiscent of days gone by yet meeting the needs of today’s people.
Rev. Daniel Muyres, O.S.B. is the current pastor.
