Denomination: Anglican Church

Christ Church seeks to be a centre for the worship of Almighty God, providing strength and assistance for all who enter, and enabling God's love in Christ to reach out to the community and world in which we live.

Our parish is an Anglican parish that offers a variety of spiritual opportunities to people, all with the supreme purpose of enabling as many people as we can to place Christ in the centre of their lives. It is not our mission that we serve but God's. It is not our purpose to serve our own agendas but it is our agenda to serve Christ.

Christ Church seeks to make the Word of God fully known by being a centre for the worship of The Ever-living God, providing strength and assistance for all who enter, and enabling God's love in Christ to reach out to the community and world in which we live.

Core values

To love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love our neighbours as our selves.
To hold Christ at the centre of our being.

Sunday services include the following:

8am Eucharist - beginning with quiet reflective music, this service is a time for reflection and prayer.

9.30am Sung Eucharist - this service includes hymns and sung responses, supported by the organist and our small choir. The service is followed by refreshments, usually in the North Transcept.

9.30am CAFS (first Sunday each month) - on the first Sunday each month at 9.30am a Children's and Families' Service ('CAFS') is held - foot tapping songs, craft work, and bible stories in action. The service is for all families, parents and children, and is held in either the SchoolRoom or Parish Hall - depending on availability. After the CAFS service parents and children can come across to join in the Eucharist in the Church, and can share in morning refreshments with other parishioners in the North Transept. Everyone is welcome!

5.15pm Family Service (including Eucharist) - a less formal Eucharist with organ accompaniment and singing. (During the holiday period in January each year there is no 5.15pm service).
