Christ the Saviour Church welcomes Christians and those who seek to understand Christianity in the San Francisco area. Our aim is to make contact with and encourage others to join us in our life-enhancing Christian journey.
Christ the Saviour Church at San Francisco, California is a friendly Christian community where we welcome others to join us in our worship and service to God. Our emphasis is on learning and understanding the Bible and following the example of Jesus and his followers.
The vision of Christ the Saviour Church is to make an impact for God, here in San Francisco, California by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds. Come just as you are - we'd love to get to know you better.

Service Time



Schedule of Services

All services are in Church Slavonic, with some English, and are held according to the Julian Calendar.


5:30 PM All-night Vigil.

Saturday Evening


10:00 AM Divine Liturgy, with Third and Sixth Hours beginning 20 minutes before the Liturgy.  Following the Liturgy, there will be lunch, church videos, and occasional lectures and discussions.

Sunday Morning


6:00 PM All-Night (major feast days only).

Eves of Great Feasts


10:00 AM Divine Liturgy.

Mornings of Great Feasts


Please check parish website for a complete schedule of services. Confessions are heard following Vigils and one-half hour before Liturgy.  Call the rectory in advance to confirm service times or to arrange Baptisms, Marriages, Memorials, Thanksgiving services, etc.
