Denomination: United Reformed Church
Welcome to Cobham United Reformed Church
A church whose vision is to be a presence in the community, a place where we can share your concerns in a prayerful manner and a way that encourages fellowship.
We’ve been here, as a congregation, since 1962 , founded as a Congregational Church then joining the United Reformed Church in 1972.We wouldn’t claim to be either the largest, or the smallest, church in the area. In fact we wouldn’t want to describe ourselves as anything but a group of people from a wide variety of backgrounds, ages, and economic groups who seek to serve the Lord and the Community. Over the years our life has been enriched by people of many nationalities, most of whom have come from a Presbyterian, Congregational or Disciples of Christ background. We are therefore used to welcoming people of all kinds, knowing that many are only here for a short time, and looking for a spiritual home.
We don’t compete with the other churches in the area, in fact as Churches Together in Cobham, Oxshott and Stoke d’Abernon, we try to work together on many things which we trust will benefit the community locally and overseas. Worship varies from church to church, and we feel that this is good as different people need different ways of relating to, worshipping and serving God.
