First United Methodist Church of Sylacauga exists to fulfill its mission for the Kingdom of God.
Matthew 28:19-20 calls us to "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." From these two verses comes our mission statement. FUMC Sylacauga exists for the purpose of:
Bringing people to Jesus,
Building up believers, and
Blessing the World.
