Denomination: United Church of Christ

Welcome! Worship 9:30 am Sunday

If you are visiting with us, and you are looking for a friendly church… where you will be loved and accepted regardless of your age, class, race, ethnicity or orientation… where you will be challenged to reflect on your beliefs, acknowledge your doubts, ask your questions, and grow in your faith… where God’s desire for compassion, healing, reconciliation, justice and joy is preached… where you are given the opportunity to put your faith into action through effective outreach ministries… then we hope to get to know you as a friend.

No matter who you are, or where you are in your life journey… you are welcome here!

Our Mission

We are a healing community. Most of us know what it’s like to be broken or wounded in our relationships, in our personal lives, in our connections with churches and other religious communities. We are finding healing for ourselves and from difficulties in the past in our congregation.

If you are searching for a safe place to find healing from your wounds – no matter what the source – you will find in us a community that cares, supports and walks with you on your journey toward wholeness.

Our outreach into the community grows out of that commitment to healing. We support a women’s shelter, local food shelf, “Feed My Starving Children,” Crop Walk, and other programs that help people we may be suffering. You will find plenty of opportunities for short term service projects that make a difference in the lives of others.

We are an open and affirming community, providing a safe space to individuals from all races, spiritual backgrounds or sexual orientations.

Worship 9:30 am Sunday

We offer a warm welcome to ALL people! Our worship is designed to strengthen your connection with God, to connect you with others and to encourage meaningful involvement in the community. You will discover a service based on both a progressive theology of social justice and support for personal spiritual development for individuals and their families.

We are small but growing community. We are learning from our past, honest about our present and looking forward to our future with hope. We are actively involved in a year-long program of renewal and revitalization called Crossroads.

When you attend you might discover us engaged in dialogue about who we are today, how we can engage in our community or participating in a conversation about events in our world that matter to us. Feel free to join in. We’re small enough that your voice will make a difference; we are open enough to change. Your ideas and opinions matter to us at Mendota Heights United Church of Christ!

We offer discussion groups, spiritual healing circles, church school activities, a women’s fellowship and a variety of community outreach activities.
