Denomination: Evangelical Lutheran

Small community members care deeply for one another.

New Hope Lutheran members care deeply for community.

There is a community here for ALL God's people with our HOPE God's grace INSPIRES us.

Through Jesus' death on the cross, God showed us a love we can hardly imagine showing for another. It is a love we often feel unworthy of receiving. It is love that inspires us. God's grace inspires us to do many things, but three in particular:

LOVE: “No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” -John 15:13

God’s grace shown to us through Christ’s death on the cross is the ultimate sign of love for someone else; thus the inspiration for us to love others. "Others" means the people closest to us, but perhaps more importantly, other people in our midst. Our neighbors. The outsiders. Those who are different.

GROW: “Still other seed fell on good soil where it produced a crop, a hundred times more than was sown.” -Luke 8:8 God's grace inspires growth. Not growth in sense of membership numbers BUT focus of the church to grow faith of its members. Growth is going to happen here through community. Growth is going to happen here through interaction with people just like us. AND, growth is going to happen here through involvement with others who are NOTHING like us.

SERVE: “The son of man came not to be served, but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.” -Matthew 20:28 God’s grace inspires us to serve one another. The word of God inspires us to serve our neighbor. God in Christ Jesus challenges us to serve the outsider, the new person, the unfamiliar, and those different than us.

These three elements, however, DO NOT stand alone.

There is LOVE in SERVICE, and SERVICE in LOVE.

There is LOVE in GROWTH and GROWTH in LOVE.

And, you guessed it,

GROWTH with SERVICE and SERVICE with GROWTH.
