Who We Are
Providence is an all ages, racially diverse community of believers that gathers (throughout the week) in Southside Savannah to worship God. Everything we do is based on a desire to draw attention to Jesus (Col 1:18)! We are passionate about loving our community and seek to grow (spiritually and numerically) through the instruction of the Bible which reveals us the way to God, the truth about God and a lifestyle that shows God. We, as God’s children, believe that the way, truth and life is successfully accomplished through, and in, Jesus Christ (John 14:6)! We are people who believe that worshipping God takes place through preaching/teaching, prayer/praise, sharing a meal and fellowshipping by encouraging each other (Acts 2:42). We are people who rely upon God’s grace to accomplish His goals for Providence Church! We believe that the Holy Spirit enables us to worship and obey His will for our lives!
What We Believe
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He is the only way to the salvation from sin and death as designed by God the Father. We believe that Holy Spirit brings people to Jesus Christ and the Holy comforts and gives power to Christians to live in a way which glorifies God. We believe that God the Father, Jesus Christ (His Son from all eternity), and the Holy Spirit are three persons in the Godhead, commonly known as the Trinity. All these truths are found in the Bible which we believe to be the Word of God; inspired and without error.
