Denomination: Lutheran Church
Led By Jesus to Love Our City
What We Believe
We believe that only through God's divine mercy, through Jesus Christ, all people of every race, age and tribe are saved. We receive forgiveness and much more through Him. It is God's true Word, in the Bible, that stands as our guiding rule and norm for our faith and life. Through the Bible, God makes us aware of sin, fills us with faith in Jesus, and guides us in living our lives.
“We find no rest for our weary bones unless we cling to the word of grace [which is God’s unending love through Jesus].”
— Martin Luther
We confess this
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Christian church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
