Denomination: United Zion Church
River Of Life Ministries is a body of believers desiring to live out the purposes of God together. We were originally brought together in March 2001 from various United Zion churches to start a new work. John 7:38 says, “Whoever believes in me, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water“; this reflects our desire for individual transformation through belief in Jesus Christ. “Ministries" reminds us that each one pours into the whole, we are not one entity but many lives connected; our gifts and callings are for the building up of the body of Christ. We come together to worship God, encourage and exhort one another in fellowship, to be equipped for ministry and missions, bringing restoration to each other and those around us.
• We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, without error, alive and active, its truths should be taught and treasured, leading to transformed lives.
• We believe that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, one divine nature, three distinct person, each
fully God
• We believe God is love, He is holy and just, worthy of our worship and praise both corporately and personally, and He is always good.
• We believe the gospel, the forgiveness and salvation through Jesus Christ, is for every person regardless of age, race, gender or appearances, and that we are called to make this known to those around us and throughout the world.
• We believe that we are called to be the hands and feet of Christ demonstrating His love and that His Lordship should permeate every area and arena of our lives.
River of Life has regular services on Sunday mornings, starting at 9:30am. As a small church, our services have an openness, allowing time to share prayer requests, personal growth and testimonies, and giving room for the Spirits’ leading. Worship, prayer and intercession, and the teaching of God’s word are essential to why we gather and where we find our strength. Making God known where He is not, whether locally or internationally, is both our passion and great joy. We desire for Him to be worshipped and His glory to be seen as His kingdom advances.
We have many children and teens within our congregation and we value their presence and the gifts they bring to this family. Sunday classes as well as outside activities are planned regularly for their spiritual growth and companionship. We also have several active small groups that meet in homes throughout the week. The first Sunday of each month, we meet together after the service for a meal and fellowship. We hold prayer meetings Wednesday nights, worship nights, outreaches, picnics, mission’s trips and are always looking for more opportunities to build relationships and reach out.
Visitors and guest speakers are frequent...we love meeting new people! As a part of the United Zion denomination we join our extended family of churches in monthly prayer meetings and a week long camp meeting each summer.
We encourage you to come as you are, and seek the more God has for you...with us!
