St John the Evangelist welcomes Christians and those who seek to understand Christianity in the Ford End area. Our aim is to make contact with and encourage others to join us in our life-enhancing Christian journey.
St John the Evangelist at Ford End, Essex is a friendly Christian community where we welcome others to join us in our worship and service to God. Our emphasis is on learning and understanding the Bible and following the example of Jesus and his followers.
The vision of St John the Evangelist is to make an impact for God, here in Ford End, Essex by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds. Come just as you are - we'd love to get to know you better.

Service Time



Sunday
Communion
Order 1 service from Common Worship. Spoken service with hymns. There's a children's corner where children can draw or play quietly.
Every first and third Sunday at 9:30 AM for 1 hour
Family Communion Service
Simple Communion Service for all the family.
Every second Sunday at 9:30 AM for ¾ hour
Family Service
Simple prayers, hymns and a talk, usually some craft work and refreshments - this is a service with children very much in mind. The bells are normally rung for this service (contact the Churchwarden if you would like to ring, or to learn to ring).
Every fourth Sunday at 9:30 AM for ¾ hour
Wednesday
Wednesday Morning Prayer
A quiet spoken Common Worship Morning Prayer. Everyone's welcome.
Every first and third Wednesday at 9:00 AM for ½ hour
