Denomination: Roman Catholic
Welcome to the parish community of St. Mary. We are happy you are visiting our church family here in Goldsboro, NC. We are located between Raleigh and the beach. We are an eclectic mixture of people, some native born Carolinians, some transient Air Force families, some retired Air Force, and some Latino immigrants. We have families and individuals of all ages. Our cultural heritages span the world: Lebanon, Africa, Europe, Viet Nam, Mexico, Central and South America, and China. We belong to the Diocese of Raleigh and are in the new Newton Grove Deanery.
As a faith community our parish mission is to work together to "Live the Gospel; Grow in faith through the Eucharist; and Share our gifts in service to others." We evangelize within the parish through Liturgical ministries, Faith Formation ministries and Home Visitation ministries. We have maintained and supported St. Mary School providing excellence in Catholic education for over 75 years. Our parish evangelizes the Goldsboro community through the Saint Vincent de Paul Society, Soup Kitchen volunteers, and the support of the Wayne Pregnancy Care Center. We also support our sister parish, Holy Trinity, in Williamston, NC. Our parish is the home of the Knights of Columbus, Council # 5487, and a chapter of the Legion of Mary.
